The sun sets on another year...

Last night Chris and I headed out to the beach, coffees and cake pops in tow, to watch the last sunset of his 20's.
I don't know if it's the smell of the salty air that I love so much, or the fact that everyone looks so damn good in the glowing sunlight, but I think I fell for him a little more.
The weather was perfect. Balmy, but not enough to remember that it was August in Florida. It was breezy, but not enough that my long, red hair was blown around into what could have been a seagull's nest.
I suppose if I were turning 30, last night would have been a pretty good last hurrah. Well, maybe if there had been champagne.... but I'm not turning 30 and he's not crazy about champagne.

Tonight I'm taking him out to dinner and I'm going to do my best to be, well... I don't know. I guess, sensitive? My 30th will also be my golden birthday, therefore, I'm sure I will be in the mood to party for a week. How am I going to be sensitive? Well, for starters I'm going to wear heels and I'm not going to wear lipstick...
Happy Birthday, Darling.

For the birds

This post was unplanned and super spur of the moment:

I was just out in the laundry room switching around some clothes. I could hear rain outside the back door. It's Florida in April, so this is normal.

I came in from sun bathing  just in time.

What am I getting at? Something I wish I would have heard sooner. Something I wish I would have listened to sooner.

The birds were singing. In the rain.

Ok, I've had 2 raspberry vodka lady drinks but sometimes that's what it takes to get my best ideas to make it to my finger tips.

So, the birds are singing in the rain. Hell, it's thundering out there, too!

So, if the birds can sing in the rain, then why can't I? When everything has gone to shit, there's got to be something to be thankful for.

Go sing.

Catch that thief! Stolen car!

Ok, so this might not mean much to some of you but a friend's car was stolen. He's a drifter and there have been a lot of thefts lately in the drifting community. If you live in the Orlando, FL area and happen to see his car please please please report it to the police. Any info you have, the driver's description and where you saw the car is most helpful. This car means a lot to him. It is his hobby. It is his baby. Please pass this on. Thanks.
