Cindy, Barbie & Me

Earlier this evening (technically yesterday now) Chris and went wandering through Toys R Us. While he was looking at legos, I made a trip to "the pink aisle." You know what I'm talking about, the Barbie aisle. I have noticed it isn't as bright pink as it used to be. Anyway, I found her:

When I first laid eyes on her frothy peach gown my mouth flapped open. I instantly had a flashback. Cindy and I used to have this EXACT dress for our Barbie dolls. I snapped a picture of it and sent it to her. Cindy had the same reaction. Funny how things come back like that to remind you of happy, innocent times. I miss playing dolls with my sister. We spent more time dressing and styling our dolls than we actually spent pretending they were at the mall or a dance.

Remember how Barbie walked? She kinda hopped around on her tippy toes and when you tried to move her legs to actually make her take strides she'd start bending backwards at the waist? Good times...

Kitties and Stickers

I loooove my kitties. Especially Cheetara. She's currently sitting on my lap. I like to think she knows I feel like garbage and I want attention.

I went to donate blood today and didn't quite get to finish. My veins are small and they roll all over the place so after sticking me, the vampire had to dig in my arm to find a vein. (I call the people that work at blood banks 'vampires' because it's funny and most of them think so too.) Anyway, about half-way through I started feeling  woozy and lightheaded. That never happens to me! I bleed like a champ! No. really I've always had an easy time with donating. Now my arms hurts and I'm starving. I did ask before I left if they had a basement. I got a funny look. Then I asked if vampires raved there at night. Then I got a laugh. Ahahaha *knees slap*

Kittie just stretched and jumped down. After the blood bank I walked over to Michael's (it's next door) and pick up an eyelet stomper-thing. I needed one.

Last thing I'm gonna say (now the other cat is bothering me. I say 'bothering' because he is laying on my chest. His little body is under my chin and choking me)... when Chris and I were in Miami back in November we were at a shop that is sadly no longer there called Pink Ghost. (They still have an online shop). In the back of the store was a little slice of a girl selling the cutest stickers EVER. Por ejemplo:

Her name is Valentina and she is an award winning vector pop-art designer / illustrator /entrepreneur. You can find her at her site here.

Ok, time for dinner!

I found cute stuff!

Blah blah blah, I was inadvertently advertising for the competition! Why?!?! Don't buy fingerprint-laden rings from {The owners have asked me to remove their names, so i will do that, and only that} Why? Obviously because their roses are covered in finger prints and their bows have seams on the back where the clay was half-ass blended together. You won't find that with my rings!  hellosundae.storenvy.com I'm not a hater. If I was I wouldn't be able to back up my claims and deliver something BETTER.

pizza+homework

Mmmmm luke warm pizza. I woke up around 1:45pm (rough night) and I'm have breakfast/lunch/snack/possibly dinner. I have to  catch up on all the reading and homework I promised myself  I would do on Thursday and Friday. Reading includes Heaney's translation of "Beowulf", various poems from the Romantic period and re-reading Conrad's Heart of Darkness. I read Heart of Darkness last semester. I'm taking the same professor's Brit Lit class this semester and it's on his syllabus again. *sigh*

More new stuff!

I don't usually get to shop a lot anymore (except at the supermarket) but I found a few deals I could NOT pass up. We went to the mall tonight looking for sneakers (not for me, frown) and ended up in PacSun. LOTS of stuff on sale. The girl stuff was an additional 50% off the clearance price while the guys was only 30%. I found 3 bags that would have normally cost around $70-$80 all together. I got them for under $6 (including tax). They were just really super clearanced already.

I got this one for a $1.50, regular $19.50

This one was another $1.50, regular $24.50

This last one was $2.50. The original tag was gone so I'm not sure what the regular price was. I would guess $39.50 based on the brand and size.

The inside has a really fun turquoise lining.

Chris spent about $45 on a pair of Bullhead jeans and a pair of really cool DC sneakers. Sweet!

New things that have come my way...

Huzzah! Today the Dunny Azteca II series was released. Chris and I attended a midnight release at Daddy Kool. Someone even brought cupcakes. Perfect: cupcakes and vinyl. I'm not interested in the new Dunny series, I don't think they were very creative. Some of them don't even have faces! You have to add them yourself with stickers! For crying out loud, if I wanted to customize a dunny I would (and I have), but I would not pay someone else to start the project for me. Chris picked up a few and luckily he didn't get any duplicates. I was mainly there for this...

Du-dun-duuuuuhhhh!!! Badtz Maru by Amanda Visell. I collect a lot of AV and of course I love Hello Kitty and all things Sanrio.

The next really awesome new toy I have is my Kindle. I've had it for a week now and I heart it. I love books. Unfortunately, with our ever growing vinyl  collection I have less and less space for another book shelf. The one we have is full, but not stuffed. Yet. I'm an English Lit major... that means lots and lots of books. Big obnoxious anthologies and skinny little novels. A Kindle was a smart buy because now it gives me tons of space for all the books I could ever want! I even made my own sleeve for it.

Imagine squeezing ALL those books into that little thing. I know, I'm excited too.

The last fun thing is just a little one. I'm easily amused and I love tequila. Especially Patrón Café. Yum-o. I receive little bits from the Patrón Social Club now and then and today I found a cute little key chain in the mail box.

Nice, dark picture so you can see all the detail put into it. It's a little on the heavy side. On the back is the bee logo, mind the finger prints. (They didn't send me the bottle.... I wish! It was just an empty.)

If you'd like to receive little treasures from Patrón sign up (and drink up) here. They even sent me a bundt cake for 2 for my birthday.
