Sundae Stroll--cancelled

Boooooo. The rainy weather foiled my plans for the day! The plan was to get on my bike, bring the camera and just get lost. I haven't been able to do that in ages. Instead, I think I'll spend a little more time getting acquainted with blogger, order a book for my advanced Shakespeare class and have some tea. I also see a few episodes of Bones and a little crocheting in the crystal ball for today!

Aside from my secret Christmas present project this is the other blanket I'm working on:

I have a looong ways to go on this blanket!

  1. That looks amazing! I spent a ton of money on crochet supplies cause I want to learn so bad, but teaching myself hasnt been working out so well. I'm determined to be good at it someday :)

  2. I learned to crochet when i was really young, but Becky (Strumpet's Crumpets) has a video teaching granny squares. Maybe if you learned those, it might make it easier to learn the rest.

  3. Stopping by via FTLOB... Sorry the rain messed up your plans! Never fun.

I cannot crochet so I applaud your efforts with that blanket :)

  4. Oh my, your sunday sounds pretty perfect to me!! Also, the project your currently working on looks great! Kudos to you! :) Well done.

What Shakespeare plays are you reading? I read Hamlet last semester. :) It was great!!

Here's to a happy Monday. XO.

  5. love the color combo!!! I hope the rain stops so you can have fun! Or you can send your rain to Texas -- we NEED it!!!

  6. Andrea & Chels-- Thanks ladies! How was your day?

    Nadine-- We're mostly studying
Hamlet. We're reading A Midsummer Night's Dream (my fav) as well.

Velma-- Doing a *special-bohemian-rain-dance" just for you to the tune of any song from Dirty Dancing that you'd like!

  7. Also I wanted to say I am also a Floridian:-) I live in Spring Hill, just north of St.Pete. We have hibernated in the AC today ha! Can't wait to see your completed project:-)

  8. Your crocheting skills look awesome, and I was just watching my Bones DVD last night. ;)

    The Cat Hag

  9. DIRTY DANCING!!!! YES! Hungry Eyes came to mind first-- not sure its much of a rain dance!!
